Fashion week Paris & Menswear

Sorry I'm late, I was in Germany last week so I couldn't post the next fashion week part but here I am. I only choose two more runway. At first I thought it wouldn't be very interesting to show the last Christian Dior Haute Couture, but then I read that he was inspired by the Dior's archives. So I get more interested about it and I actually find it was a good idea after all the Galliano's years to return to the classic and famous originally dior's style. So I have one more time made a selection of my favorites clothing of the runway.
Yiqing Yin Haute Couture

I actually didn't a lot from his work but when I saw the last Haute Couture show I was pretty surprised, he's doing a really nice job. Beautiful long dresses, transparent fabrics, ample suit and extravagant dresses are there.

Now I would show you one of the lasts menswear runway ... I never made any article about them so I guess it's time. MUGLER, verry minimalist and original cuts as usual. We can say that Nicolas Formichetti is respecting the mugler spirit and doing a really nice job too.

More is coming soon...

Love Leon.

Fashion week Paris

Here arrived the lasts fashion show from Paris, I made a selection of my favorites ones. Now that I'm on Hollidays since a fiew weeks I do have the time to do all of this (finally) So here I am in Germany, In Cologne and the weather is perfect to hang out and looking for some beautiful clothes and other stuffs. I will make an article this week with the things I've found! But now place to the runway.First I'd like to show you the Last Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture, as always it is amazing. Not as incridible as his previous Haute Couture shows but still very inspiring, beautiful and tipical Gaultier. He choose for this collection to play with dark colors, especially black but also with clear colors like grey, gold & white. For the spirit of it I guess he was inspired by the 20's and very chic years.
We find the same inspiration in the scene's costumes he created for the last Madonna's tour, wich I'm actually going to see tomorrow night (can't wait!). By the way they are amazing too.
Valentino Haute Couture.
Amazing as usual, they never stop to impressed us. They choose to use accurate colors, especially dark blue, red blooded and also black & gold. We find a lot of long and beautiful dresses, as I like them chic and sometimes sexy at the same time.
Givenchy Pre Show
It is only a foretaste of the last Givenchy Collection.
In my next post I'll put more different shows but also menswear , I can't now because I'm not on my own computer.  But for now What's your mind about these three fabulous Haute Couture collections?

Love, Leon.

Inspirations Box

So many things inspiring me everyday. I have to say that I'm a cinema lover and obviously I love photographs, I wanted to talk a little about some movies that really inspired me or that are just in the same artistically way that mine. I begin with "A Single Man" from Tom Ford, it is the first stylist's movie but we can say that it is really really good. The casting is also amazing so I guess it does a lot: Julianne Moore & Colin Firth. What I suppose I find very interesting and inspiring in this film is the times in witch it takes place. Sweet sixteen, the haircut, the style, the clothes, the houses, the makeup, everything is beautiful to my mind (yes, I am a vintage fan). The fact that it has been produced by a fashion designer must also plays a lot, he knows his work and has the aesthetic sense. Before I let you watch the trailer I made a selection of pictures from it to show you more much details.

As in my previous post I have to talk about Lana, her style obviously joins the movie's style. Only these pictures & a live where we really find this 60's spirit.
To close this post I made a second "Summer Playlist"
Last shoot (yesterday), I found the pictures would go well with the vintage spirit

My bowie t-shirt and I tell you bye.

Holidays!

(I found this one in the april number of the french Vogue)
I'm sorry for no posting more often but now I'm on holidays so I'm ready to prepare more articles about my inspirations, my photographs and even more...
So today I'm doing this one with a selection of good music you should listen during your summertime this year!
I guess I should begin with the title track Holiday from the one and only Madonna

The inevitable David Bowie
"Put on your red shoes and dance the blues"

So here's my little first playlist of the summer, I will post some more in the next posts. Just some various tracks that will make your summer more happy.

I'll let you discover the others songs if you don't already know the most of them
Sky Ferreira by Terry Richardson
Lana Del Rey in National Anthem

Well it is actually not my favorite track from Lana but I have to say that I really like the video. She's replaying the famous "Kennedy Assasination" scene. She's really playing with these inspiring periods, her look, her style and her videos are all about it. This also must be why I appreciate her so much including the fact that she's making fabulous music.
Guy Bourdin
One of my favorite picture that Bourdin made, it is really inspiring and I find the idea amazing! Natalia Kills actually took it in her video Wonderland.

Some pictures from a recent shooting I've made with a friend.
